Lockheed F-35 deal gets nod

Lockheed Martin (LMT) and the Pentagon reached a tentative deal for a 5th batch of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, a 32-jet order valued at about $3.8 bil. They've been negotiating since last Dec. The gov't won't release a final price until details are worked out and the contract signed. The $396 bil F-35 program has been the Pentagon's costliest weapons system ever, and is in the cross hairs of lawmakers looking to make budget cuts. Shares rose 0.3% to 93.30.
