Leading digital peripherals manufacturer Logitech International (LOGI) recently introduced its first protective folios for Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (SSNLF) tablets to expand its tablet accessories lineup. The brand new collection includes an Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, along with Folio Protective cases for three different versions of Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Logitech plans to launch the products in the U.S., Europe and a few Asian countries during October. While the Keyboard folio is expected to be priced at $99.99, the protective case will be made available for $49.99.
These ultra-thin and light cases are water repellant and provide both front and back protection. Moreover, Logitech’s Keyboard Folio has a built-in keyboard that facilitates fast and easy typing.
A few days back, Logitech also introduced the first ultra-portable ultra-thin touch mouse priced at $69.99. With its sleek, feather-light design, the Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse fulfills the modern needs of consumers for sleeker, portable and fashionable electronic touch-navigation devices.
Last month, Logitech had launched a wireless All-in-One keyboard with a built-in touchpad. The keyboard – TK820 – is an innovative brainchild of Logitech, which lets the user type, touch and swipe with a single device. The ultra-slim wireless keyboard is the first of its kind and occupies comparatively lesser space on the user’s desktop as the built-in touchpad is conspicuously smaller than a built-in laptop touchpad.
The rapid adoption of new mobile platforms, such as tablets and smartphones in both mature and emerging markets, is stimulating the growing demand for Logitech’s peripherals and accessories. In order to capitalize on this opportunity, the company is continuously launching an array of innovative products.
Currently, Logitech carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Better-placed stocks in the same sector that are worth considering include Imaging, Inc. (EFII) and Alps Electric Co. Ltd. (APELY). Both these stocks carry a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).
