TWST: Could you please begin with an overview of Boyle Capital?

Mr. Boyle: We started Boyle Capital in 2004. We are 100% employee-owned, and today we manage approximately $180 million. We primarily have three main strategies that we manage for our clients. First is our equity strategy, which is our largest in terms of assets and the one we started the firm based on. It is an all-cap strategy with 10 to 20 common stocks at any given time.

In 2007 we created our value strategy to allow us more flexibility. In the value strategy we have a much broader mandate and can invest in stocks and bonds and cash - also utilize options strategies. Our dividend strategy was created in 2009 to capitalize on the opportunities that we saw back then to invest in safe, high-quality dividend-paying companies, and that strategy is more diversified than the equity, with approximately 15 to 20 holdings.

Lastly, in 2013 we took over as manager of the Valley Forge - VAFGX - mutual, and it's a way for investors to access our strategies for a much lower minimum, albeit with some differences in terms of how focused the portfolio can be.

TWST: What type of investor is best served by your firm, and who is your ideal client?

Mr. Boyle: Our ideal client is generally an individual that is focused on absolute returns and is willing to demonstrate patience while investing for long-term results...
