Longhorns star Andrew Jones takes some shots a month after leukemia diagnosis
Leukemia isn’t going to stop Texas Longhorns guard Andrew Jones from doing what he loves. Just a month after being diagnosed, Jones posted a video of himself taking some shots during his recovery.
Jones posted the video on his Twitter page:

Wearing gloves and a mask over his face, Jones took a couple shots while standing a few feet away from the basket.
The video doesn’t show much, but it was enough to provide hope to those rooting for Jones to make a quick recovery. As he explained later on Twitter, he can’t just sit still all day. He needs to do something active to pass the time.
I have to be active, can’t just stay in one spot all day.

Texas announced Jones was battling leukemia Jan. 10. A day later, the team won an emotional game in double-overtime to upset TCU. The school also set up a fund to help Jones and his family pay for treatment.
