Louis C.K. resurfaces for first time since sexual misconduct scandal

Louis C.K. swiftly dropped out of sight after admitting that sexual misconduct allegations against him were true, but there was a rare sighting of him this week when he was snapped out and about in New York City.

The comedian, 50, took a stroll with actress Parker Posey on Wednesday. There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about the photos — it’s not like he was wearing a shirt that said “Guilty of #MeToo” — they were just walking down the street having a conversation. However, it does show that not only is he reemerging after months of being under the radar, but also that Posey, who guest-starred on his show Louie, is in his corner unlike, say, his old pal Zach Galifianakis. (For the record, he’s also gotten support from Dave Chappelle, and Sarah Silverman has expressed mixed feelings on the topic. Pamela Adlon, his longtime friend and collaborator, promised to “say more as soon as I am able,” but hasn’t yet.)

It’s not a great time to be Louis C.K. After years of rumors, the New York Times followed up its explosive Harvey Weinstein exposé with one on the funnyman. Five women accused him of sexual misconduct, detailing — TMI alert — how he liked to masturbate in front of them. While the divorced father of two admitted that the “these stories are true,” many took issue with his lengthy statement, saying he made light of the situation. (His multiple references to his “dick” in the statement certainly didn’t help.)

After the news broke in early November, FX and HBO severed ties with him. He also had a Netflix special canceled and his movie I Love You, Daddy shelved.
