Love Island host Caroline Flack has been arrested and charged with assault.
Six police cars were spotted outside her home, which she shares with boyfriend Lewis Burton, in the early hours of yesterday morning, according to the Daily Star.
"Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on 13 December with assault by beating," a spokesperson for the Met Police told Cosmopolitan UK in a statement.
"This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man being assaulted. He was not seriously injured."
The man, believed to be Caroline's boyfriend Lewis, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
According to an eye witness, Lewis was heard shouting, "Bruv, I was normal until I met her" as police escorted him to a waiting car.
The presenter will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23rd December.
Caroline and tennis player Lewis have been together since August. She is due to fly to South Africa in the coming weeks ahead of the start of Winter Love Island.
Cosmopolitan UK has contacted a representative for Caroline for comment.
