MANCHESTER, Britain (AP) _ Luxfer Holdings PLC (LXFR) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $4.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Manchester, Britain-based company said it had profit of 15 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 17 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.
The materials technology company specializing in aluminum, magnesium and zirconium posted revenue of $89.5 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $84.4 million.
Luxfer shares have decreased 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $13.06, a decrease of 36% in the last 12 months.
