HOUSTON, Feb. 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB), one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world, today announced it has been named to FORTUNE Magazine's 2021 list of the "World's Most Admired Companies" for the fourth year in a row. The FORTUNE list recognizes companies with the strongest reputations across a variety of industry sectors.

  • starting up its next generation Hyperzone high-density polyethylene plant in Houston, Texas and establishing a new manufacturing joint venture in Louisiana.

  • successfully starting-up its proprietary MoReTec advanced recycling pilot plant in Ferrara, Italy. LyondellBasell's MoReTec technology aims to return post-consumer plastic waste to its molecular form for use as feedstock in new plastic materials.

  • receiving the American Chemistry Council's highest distinction, the Responsible Care® Company of the Year Award, which recognizes exceptional leadership in the area of health, safety and environment.
