Madonna rings in 59th birthday with two lavish celebrations in Italy

It’s good to be Madonna. This past week the queen of pop threw herself not one, but two 59th birthday celebrations. First up, the entertainer held an outdoor bash in Puglia, Italy, where she stunned attendees by arriving on top of a white horse. She shared the moment on Instagram, citing her astrological sign for the big entrance. “Because A Leo...” she coyly wrote to her fans. Things seemed to get even wilder at the star’s second event, which had a “gypsy theme” and saw the attendance of all of her children.

The world-famous singer took to her Instagram account on Saturday to post some pics from her gypsy-themed celebration in Puglia. One of the most memorable photos showed her contently posing with all six of her children, a rarely seen moment. The star stood amongst her sons Rocco, 17, and David, 11 and her four daughters (who wore matching Dolce and Gabbana prints) Lourdes, 20, Mercy, 11, and twins Esther and Stella, age four. Madonna simply captioned the photo “Birthday” with a series of party emojis.

Another photo featured a lovely moment between the mom-of-six and her daughter Lourdes. Madonna captioned the sweet snap: “Best.” In the picture, a stunning Lourdes is seen holding her mom’s face in her hand and giving her a loving kiss on the cheek as Madonna smiles and closes her eyes. The birthday girl looked festive at the party, wearing a corseted costume topped with a suede hat. She seemed to be having a fantastic time as she celebrated her 59th year with her loved ones.

Madonna is currently preparing to launch her skincare line MDNA Skin this September. Already on sale in Japan, the range has everything from face washes to a Chrome Clay Mask on offer. Madonna hopes there's a product that everyone can enjoy. "I'm tired of hearing people complain here that they can't get it in America," she told WWD.
