VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ MAG Silver Corp. (MAG) on Friday reported a loss of $14.9 million in its first quarter.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 17 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.
MAG Silver shares have climbed 5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $12.46, an increase of 32% in the last 12 months.
