PEMBROKE, Bermuda (AP) _ Maiden Holdings Ltd. (MHLD) on Friday reported first-quarter net income of $20.9 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Pembroke, Bermuda-based company said it had net income of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 4 cents per share.
The reinsurance holding company posted revenue of $59.1 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $49.6 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Friday, the company's shares hit 97 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 69 cents.
