Thought Disneyland was already the greatest place on Earth? Well, strap yourselves in, because Marvel is about to enter the theme parks with its own special area.

Announced prior to this weekend's D23 Expo in the US, this multi-million dollar project will bring the awesomeness of superhero life to the Florida, California AND Paris locations, which is surprising and amazing in equal measure.

Concept art for this 'Avengers Campus' has been released too, which can be viewed below. See if you can spot the Stark Industries building, the Quinjet and a Pym Lab tucked away – as well as an airborne Spider-Man.

According to the official D23 website, visitors to this upcoming comic book landscape will "become part of an interconnected, global story spanning from California to Paris to Hong Kong, as the Avengers recruit new extraordinary people to join them".

Now's the perfect time to dig out that old Captain America shield.

The Disney Parks Twitter page also helped spread the word of the 'Avengers Campus' development, with additional imagery teasing a Moana-inspired interactive space, too.

We'd expect this new Marvel area to sit in construction for at least a couple of years, but stay tuned on Digital Spy for further information coming straight out of D23 this weekend.
