THE WOODLANDS, Texas (AP) -- Investigators say a man with an assault rifle has robbed a Houston-area Tiffany & Co. store and fled with some expensive jewelry.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office on Thursday worked to identify the suspect, whose image has been captured on store surveillance video.
Lt. Dan Norris says a man late Wednesday afternoon held up the high-end retail store in The Woodlands. The cap-wearing suspect looked at some rings before pulling the rifle from his bag.
Norris says the man sprayed several Tiffany's workers with a chemical irritant before stealing some items and running out the door. No serious injuries were reported.
The upscale jewelry chain is based in New York.
