MANCHESTER, Britain (AP) _ Manchester United PLC (MANU) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $34.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Manchester, Britain-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 36 cents per share.
The soccer club posted revenue of $268.4 million in the period.
Manchester United shares have increased almost 5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 1 percent in the last 12 months.
