MANCHESTER, Britain (AP) _ Manchester United PLC (MANU) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $84.3 million.
The Manchester, Britain-based company said it had profit of 52 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 29 cents per share.
The soccer club posted revenue of $228.3 million in the period.
Manchester United shares have increased 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $18.83, an increase of roughly 8% in the last 12 months.
