Is Kingstone Companies, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:KINS) 3.4% Dividend Sustainable?

Yet sometimes, investors buy a stock for its dividend and lose money because the share price falls by more than they earned in dividend payments. In this case, Kingstone Companies likely looks attractive to dividend investors, given its 3.4% dividend yield and eight-year payment history. We'd agree the yield does look enticing.

UPDATE 1-Chevron expects $10 bln-$11 bln charge in fourth quarter; plans sale of assets

U.S. oil major Chevron Corp said on Tuesday it is evaluating strategic alternatives, including divestment of gas-related assets in Appalachia shale, Kitimat LNG, and other international projects. Chevron, which set a 2020 spending program of $20 billion, said these actions are estimated to result in non-cash, after tax impairment charges of $10 billion to $11 billion in its fourth quarter, with more than half related to the Appalachia shale. Chevron reported a 36% drop in third-quarter profit, hit by lower oil and gas prices and refining margins, and warned higher costs would affect its current-quarter results.

Have Insiders Been Buying NHS Industries Ltd. (CNSX:NHS) Shares?

We've lost count of how many times insiders have accumulated shares in a company that goes on to improve markedly. The flip side of that is that there are more than a few examples of insiders dumping stock prior to a period of weak performance. Insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing.

Should You Be Adding PacWest Bancorp (NASDAQ:PACW) To Your Watchlist Today?

In the age of tech-stock blue-sky investing, my choice may seem old fashioned; I still prefer profitable companies like PacWest Bancorp (NASDAQ:PACW). PacWest Bancorp's Earnings Per Share Are Growing. If you believe that markets are even vaguely efficient, then over the long term you'd expect a company's share price to follow its earnings per share (EPS).

Why Donald Trump Could Still Resign

Resignation has always been a small-odds proposition for this egocentric President, but today the stars are more aligned for that result than ever before. Like in the Nixon case, the primer to the resignation bullet is in the hands of the Supreme Court. In Nixon, the President's lawyers defended against a subpoena for Oval Office tapes on the grounds of executive privilege.

The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY) Vies For A Place In Your Dividend Portfolio: Here's Why

We also measure dividends paid against a company's levered free cash flow, to see if enough cash was generated to cover the dividend. Of the free cash flow it generated last year, Hershey paid out 44% as dividends, suggesting the dividend is affordable. It's positive to see that Hershey's dividend is covered by both profits and cash flow, since this is generally a sign that the dividend is sustainable, and a lower payout ratio usually suggests a greater margin of safety before the dividend gets cut.
