PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Matthews International Corp. (MATW) on Thursday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $3.1 million.
The Pittsburgh-based company said it had net income of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 50 cents per share.
The casket and memorial manufacturer posted revenue of $374.2 million in the period.
Matthews International shares have increased 9.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $44.49, a decline of 21 percent in the last 12 months.
