McCormick names Lawrence Kurzius as CAO

SPARKS, Md. (AP) -- Spice and flavoring maker McCormick & Co. said Thursday that it named Lawrence Kurzius as its global consumer president and chief administrative officer, effective July 1.

Kurzius currently serves as president of the company's international operations. He joined McCormick in 2003 when it acquired Zatarain's, where he was president and chief executive, the company said.

McCormick shares rose 36 cents to $69.20 in midday trading. They are near the high end of their 52-week range of $55.17 to $74.26.
