The Associated Press

McDonald's Corp. said Monday that a franchisee plans to open the hamburger chain's first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City next year as part of an expansion into Vietnam.

That will bring the hamburger chain's presence in Asia to 38 countries.

The company said that it will partner with Henry Nguyen, a Vietnamese businessman.
