PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- MDS Manufacturing Co. will expand its South Dakota operations with the help of a low-interest state loan.
MDS makes skid steer, tractor loader, telehandler and wheel loader attachments for major brands of equipment. It plans to add 15 to 20 jobs with the loan from the state's Revolving Economic Development and Initiative Fund.
MDS President Steve Hohn says the loan will allow the company to buy equipment to become more efficient and meet production needs. The family-owned company was established in 1976.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard says South Dakota needs companies like MDS to serve the agricultural industry.
