(CAS.TO) and Sonoco Products Company (SON), invites media representatives to the official inauguration of its new, state-of-the-art equipment at the Cascades Sonoco – Birmingham plant in Alabama. A press conference will be held with Cascades President and Chief Executive Officer, Mario Plourde , and Sonoco Chief Executive Officer, Robert C. Tiede . The company will unveil its new water-based coating line—the result of a US$16 million investment—supporting the development of a range of recyclable, repulpable and compostable takeout containers.
Dignitaries, the media, partners, customers, suppliers and employees will be welcome Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the plant located at 170 Cleage Drive, Birmingham, AL.
The ceremony will be webcast: livestream.com/cascades/sonoco. A tour of the plant and a cocktail reception will follow. The media will be able to conduct a photo session and individual interviews on site.
