MEDIA ALERT: ALLEGIANT COMPUTER SYSTEM OUTAGE UPDATE
LAS VEGAS, July 18, 2014 - The Allegiant Air (NASDAQ: ALGT) computer system outage has been resolved, and systems are fully restored as of 1 p.m.
The outage, which began at approximately 5:25 a.m. PDT, has affected approximately 26 flights and 4,000 passengers. Of 250 Allegiant flights scheduled to operate today, eight have been cancelled, while 18 have been rescheduled to operate Saturday, July 19.
For passengers delayed overnight, Allegiant will provide the following compensation:
- Full refund of the price of passengers` affected flight
- $200 voucher, good for future travel on Allegiant
- Reimbursement for hotel accommodations for displaced passengers
Passengers on cancelled flights will receive the following compensation:
- Full refund of the price of passengers` itinerary
- $300 voucher, good for future travel on Allegiant
- Reimbursement of reasonable alternative transportation expenses
