Meet Romeo! Alec Baldwin's new son has a sweetheart of a name

Ireland, Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, and … Romeo.

Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, has shared the name of their fourth child together, and it’s a sweet one: Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin. The name announcement came along with a new photo of the babe, the best view we’ve had so far, outfitted all in white and resting in loving arms.

Romeo is the youngest of the Baldwinitos — that’s what the Spanish yoga instructor and author calls her brood, which also includes Carmen, 4, Rafael, 2, and Leonardo, 1. Big sister Ireland, 22, is Alec’s daughter from his marriage to Kim Basinger.

The name Romeo is certainly popular among celebrities: David and Victoria Beckham’s 15-year-old son has the name, and Jon Bon Jovi and his wife also chose it for their son, 14. It took until after the Baldwins’ youngest son’s arrival for them to commit to it, though. On Saturday, Hilaria shared on social media that they were “still choosing his name,” noting, “Carmen has had quite a few great ideas.”

While the couple is just now announcing Romeo’s name, they’re already well into adjusting to life with their new addition, who was born on Friday. They’ve shared sweet family moments, including Carmen meeting the baby for the first time, as well as a family photo of them all on the couch watching a movie. “Reunited,” wrote the busy mama, who admitted she was “so tired.”

Proud big sister Carmen came to meet our new baby today…the other boys were napping, so they will meet him soon! All is wonderful. Still choosing his name. Carmen has had quite a few great ideas . I have taken a postpartum photo, as I have done in the past, but due to the school shooting, I’m going to wait to post. It’s such an experience being in a maternity ward, surrounded by new life, intensely blooming love, and to be reading about such violence and hatred. If only these horrible people could really have in perspective how we all begin…such sweet, innocent babies… my heart is breaking for the victims, for the families, and for all of us. Because this isn’t getting any better through inaction. #wegotthis2018

But not tired enough for real talk on Instagram. The fitness lover, 34, shared photos of her bump throughout her pregnancy, and — as she did after the births of her other two boys — she took a photo of her postpartum body to share that as well. The purpose “is to normalize the postpartum figure,” she wrote, “and over the next days, weeks, and months, show you how I strengthen my body and return to my non pregnant self. You all came with me through my pregnancy…now it’s time to turn back into me.”

I always post a photo in this mirror in my hospital room within 24 hours after having my babies (except with Carmen…I was too much of a nervous first time mama ). I wanted to hold off the other day out of respect for the school shooting. I took this photo, Friday, the morning after this new baby was born. My purpose here is to normalize the postpartum figure and over the next days, weeks, and months, show you how I strengthen my body and return to my non pregnant self. You all came with me through my pregnancy…now it’s time to turn back into me. We all come in different shapes, sizes, and health experiences…but given the right love and care, we can feel really good within our skin. We just have to be patient and kind with our bodies. I’ll post my last two postpartum photos (Rafa and Leo) in my stories, so you can remember how we did this before. They are not glamorous, there is no filter, and I have a super sleepy face…but they are part of my real journey. I have so much respect and admiration for the human body…I hope that intention shines through and we can inspire each other to be healthier and happier. #wegotthis2018

And not tired enough for Alec to appear on Saturday Night Live. He returned to the show — as the Donald — while his old pal Tina Fey hosted the season finale. Sleep? Who needs sleep?
