The First Lady's Outfit:Hit Or Miss?

The First Lady and President Trump met with some members of the Royal Family, including Prince Charles and his wife Duchess of Cornwall Camilla in London for the 70th Anniversary of the NATO Summit.

She paired the look of her yellow cape with a fuchsia dress and matching heels, creating a striking color combination.

The Trumps met with the royals at Clarence House on Dec.3 where they live.

Camilla also got in on the cape trend, but wore a shorter black cape that hit at her waist. The duchess paired the look with a regal red dress and a pearl necklace.

Melania Follows Her Own Style

Melania isn't afraid to follow her own fashion trends and can get away wearing what she pleases—even if it risks her being humiliated by the critics and the public.

Queen Elizabeth II co-hosted the reception at Buckingham Palace, joined by other royals such as Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not in attendance in order to take time off from royal duties to spend time with family. Prince William, currently on a tour of Kuwait and Oman, was also not present.

Critics Poked Fun At The First Lady's Yellow Cape

Some more critics poked fun at The First Lady's canary yellow cape.

"Is she trying to blend into Clarence House’s yellowing walls with her bulbous, fortress-like silhouette and burnt butter color scheme? Or is she demanding attention with look-at-me fuchsia detailing and extra-wide parachute sleeves?"

One critic said, "Perhaps she is just hungry and biding her time waiting for yum-yums by dressing like an English treat."

Kate Bennett, CNN’s White House reporter and author of the just-released unauthorized biography 'Free, Melania', identified the “bold yellow cape coat” as Valentino, posting a side-by-side of FLOTUS with a runway model from the Italian label’s fall show.

Poor Melania. She's must feel like a prisoner of the public domain and can't break free.
