Mercado Libre announces $27.1 mln investment in Mexico's Jalisco state

MEXICO CITY, July 23 (Reuters) - Latin American e-commerce platform MercadoLibre on Thursday said it would make a $27.1 million investment in the Mexican state of Jalisco for the construction of a warehouse and distribution center.

David Geisen, head of the Argentine firm's operations in Mexico, said in a news conference that the site would help expand MercadoLibre's reach in the central Bajio region of Mexico. (Reporting by Daina Beth Solomon; editing by Julia Love)
