Merchants Bancorp: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

CARMEL, Ind. (AP) _ Merchants Bancorp (MBIN) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $15.4 million.

The bank, based in Carmel, Indiana, said it had earnings of 51 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $54.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $38.9 million, exceeding Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $62.9 million, or $2.07 per share. Revenue was reported as $139.6 million.

Merchants Bancorp shares have increased slightly more than 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $21.21, a climb of nearly 4 percent in the last 12 months.
