ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) _ Mercury Systems Inc. (MRCY) on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $12.8 million.
The Andover, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 25 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 47 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 44 cents per share.
The maker of processing systems and software posted revenue of $177 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $172.9 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $46.8 million, or 96 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $654.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Mercury Systems expects its per-share earnings to range from 39 cents to 42 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $160 million to $170 million for the fiscal first quarter.
Mercury Systems expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.97 to $2.08 per share, with revenue ranging from $740 million to $760 million.
Mercury Systems shares have increased 51% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $71.43, a rise of 79% in the last 12 months.
