BOSTON, Dec. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Meridian Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company” or “Meridian”) (EBSB), the holding company for East Boston Savings Bank, today declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.08 per common share, an increase of $0.01 per common share or 14%, payable on January 2, 2020 to stockholders of record at the close of business on December 19, 2019.

Gavegnano, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, “Consistent with our commitment to enhancing stockholder value, our Board of Directors approved this 14% increase in our dividend to an annualized rate of $0.32 per share based on our expected earnings trends and continued strength of our asset quality.”
