SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ Meta Financial Group Inc. (CASH) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $4.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based company said it had net income of 48 cents. Earnings, adjusted for pretax expenses, came to 85 cents per share.
The holding company for Meta Bank posted revenue of $60.1 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $58.5 million.
Meta shares have climbed 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $103.15, a climb of roughly 3 percent in the last 12 months.
