MetLife warns, axes buyback

The nation's largest life insurer warned that its EPS this year will be $5.15-$5.25, the midpoint below estimates of $5.25, and sees '13 EPS of $4.95-$5.35, below views of $5.47. MetLife (MET), which also halted a stock buyback, blamed low interest rates for undermining investments. Shares fell 2.3% to 32.83.
