Mexico president says probes to show if others implicated in Robles case

MEXICO CITY, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Tuesday that investigations will show whether other people who have served in government are implicated in a case that has ensnared a former cabinet minister.

A judge ordered ex-social development minister Rosario Robles to be taken into custody pending criminal proceedings into suspected losses to taxpayers, Mexican media reported on Tuesday.

Lopez Obrador said judges will decide how the case proceeds, stressing the independence of the judicial authorities. (Reporting by Mexico City Newsroom; writing by Julia Love Editing by Dave Graham)
