The tech giant said it would expand its television projects to help boost its new Xbox game console as a home entertainment device. It already has a deal with Steven Spielberg to produce a show based on the "Halo" game series. There will also be Xbox One content unrelated to games. Rivals Sony (SNE) and Nintendo (NTDOY) already have game consoles that allow users to play video games while watching TV, listening to music or talking on the phone. Microsoft shares rose 1.2% to 33.32.
