LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) _ MidSouth Bancorp Inc. (MSL) on Tuesday reported a loss of $4.9 million in its third quarter.
The bank, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, said it had a loss of 34 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 8 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $23.5 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $21.6 million, surpassing Street forecasts.
MidSouth shares have risen slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 2 percent in the last 12 months.
