TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Midstates Petroleum Co. (MPO) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $34.9 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said it had net income of $1.38 per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $69.6 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported net income of $48.4 million, or $1.91 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $208.6 million.
Midstates Petroleum shares have climbed 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.12, a drop of 40 percent in the last 12 months.
