The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The mobile imaging software company posted revenue of $11.4 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $10.4 million.
Mitek Systems shares have increased 32 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $8.10, a climb of 30 percent in the last 12 months.
