MLB playoffs: Postseason schedule leading to 2017 World Series

The Dodgers and Astros dominated the regular season, and now they're the last two teams left in the MLB playoffs.

The 2017 MLB regular season had plenty of talking points and storylines. The Dodgers set franchise highs and franchise lows on the way to securing an early playoff berth, while the Indians strung together 22 straight wins, the longest streak in 100 years, en route to clinching the AL Central.

Meanwhile, the Astros had to navigate the destruction of Hurricane Harvey in Houston. Their run to the World Series highlights the city's ability to come together in the midst of the tragedy.

Here is all the information you need to follow the 2017 MLB playoffs up to the World Series.

This season, the MLB All-Star Game did not determine which league will have home-field advantage for the World Series. The team with the better record will now hold home-field advantage in the World Series.

Because the Dodgers had an MLB-best 104-58 record during the regular season, they hold home-field advantage in the World Series.
