Game maker Hasbro (HAS) said Q1 EPS rose 25% to 5 cents, beating estimates by a penny. Sales grew 2.3% to $663.7 mil, well ahead of consensus of $638.8 mil as the company benefited from a Facebook (FB) contest that let players vote to eliminate 1 of the tokens for its perennially popular Monopoly game and vote for a new one. The company, which also makes G.I. Joe action figures, and My Little Pony and Transformers brand toys, said revenue rose for 3 of its 4 categories, although the boys category lagged. Shares rose 3.4% to 46.55.
