HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- The state Labor Department says Montana's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 5.2 percent in October, after holding at 5.3 percent since July.
The national unemployment rate was 7.3 percent in October.
Labor Commissioner Pam Bucy says Montana added over 750 jobs in September, but lost 57 in October.
The state has added 1,722 jobs since October 2012.
Montana's unemployment rate was as low as 3.1 percent in late 2006 and rose as high as 6.8 percent in the second half of 2010. It has been on a downward trend since mid-2011.
