MOVES-BNP Paribas Securities Services names four senior appointments

Sept 20 (Reuters) - BNP Paribas Securities Services said on Friday it has made four new senior appointments in its financial intermediaries sales and relationship management team.

Martin Loesser Baker will head the team's Americas region, and James Woods will head Continental Europe.

For United Kingdom, Simon Walker will be the head of financial intermediaries relationship management, while Phil Parmley will head financial intermediaries sales unit.

All four will report to Graham Ray, global head of sales and relationship management at BNP Paribas Securities Services. (Reporting by C Nivedita in Bengaluru)

  • BHP makes $39 billion bid for Anglo American in mining shake-up

    MELBOURNE/LONDON (Reuters) -BHP Group said on Thursday it had made a $38.8 billion bid for Anglo American, proposing a deal that would create the world's biggest copper miner and sending its smaller rival's shares sharply higher. BHP said it will offer Anglo's shareholders 25.08 pounds per share, a premium of 31%, and carve out the London-listed group's iron ore and platinum assets in South Africa, where the world's largest listed miner has no assets. Anglo, which owns mines in countries including Chile, South Africa, Brazil and Australia, said it was reviewing the unsolicited, non-binding and highly conditional proposal.
