MSCI receives feedback on Adani Group over free float of securities

Feb 9 (Reuters) - Index provider MSCI said on Thursday it has received feedback from a range of market participants concerning specific securities associated with the Adani Group.

"MSCI has determined that the characteristics of certain investors have sufficient uncertainty that they should no longer be designated as free float pursuant to our methodology," it said in a statement.

The index provider received feedback concerning eligibility, free float determination of specific securities associated with Adani Group for the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes. (Reporting by Rhea Binoy in Bengaluru; Editing by Shailesh Kuber)
