NEW YORK (AP) _ MSG Networks Inc. (MSGN) on Friday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $46.9 million.

The New York-based company said it had net income of 62 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 63 cents per share.

The media company posted revenue of $164.5 million in the period.

MSG Networks shares have risen 30 percent since the beginning of the year.
