Mueller Water Products: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

ATLANTA (AP) _ Mueller Water Products Inc. (MWA) on Monday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $25 million.

The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 16 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 17 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 17 cents per share.

The maker of fire hydrants, pipes and water valves posted revenue of $254.3 million in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $240.7 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $105.6 million, or 66 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $916 million.

Mueller Water Products shares have declined 14 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $10.82, a decline of 10 percent in the last 12 months.
