AKRON, Ohio (AP) _ Myers Industries Inc. (MYE) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $21.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Akron, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 60 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 15 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 15 cents per share.
The maker of plastic products posted revenue of $135.2 million in the period.
Myers shares have declined 14 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 22 percent in the last 12 months.
