National CineMedia: 1Q Earnings Snapshot

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) _ National CineMedia Inc. (NCMI) on Monday reported a loss of $1.1 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Centennial, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 2 cents per share.

The theater advertising company posted revenue of $76.9 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $83.3 million.

National CineMedia expects full-year revenue in the range of $450 million to $465 million.

National CineMedia shares have risen 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $7.46, a climb of 34% in the last 12 months.
