National Commerce: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) _ National Commerce Corp. (NCOM) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $10.7 million.

The bank, based in Birmingham, Alabama, said it had earnings of 51 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 62 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $56.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $49 million, which topped Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $42.4 million, or $2.21 per share. Revenue was reported as $169.5 million.

National Commerce shares have increased nearly 9 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $39.16, a drop of 7 percent in the last 12 months.
