National Fuel Gas: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ National Fuel Gas Co. (NFG) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $38 million.

The Williamsville, New York-based company said it had profit of 44 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 49 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 54 cents per share.

The energy company posted revenue of $289.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $391.5 million, or $4.53 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.59 billion.

National Fuel Gas expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.35 to $3.65 per share.

National Fuel Gas shares have climbed slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased nearly 5 percent in the last 12 months.
