DULUTH, Ga. (AP) _ National Vision Holdings Inc. (EYE) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $1.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Duluth, Georgia-based company said it had net income of 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 18 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 12 cents per share.
The discount optical retailer and eye care provider posted revenue of $431.9 million in the period.
National Vision expects full-year revenue of $1.71 billion.
National Vision shares have dropped 12% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 44% in the last 12 months.
