Navigant Boosts Middle East Presence

Zacks Equity Research

Management services provider Navigant Consulting Inc. (NCI) recently extended its global footprint with the opening of a new office in Doha, Qatar. This further expanded Navigant’s physical presence in the Middle East region after having opened up its first office in Dubai, UAE in 2010.

Through this new set up, Navigant expects to offer premium advisory, dispute and investigative services to the region and thereby meet the increasing demand for such services as implementation of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 gathers pace.

The National Vision defines a framework for transforming Qatar into an advanced country by 2030, which is capable of sustaining its own development. It broadly outlines the national strategies and implementation plans to achieve this long-term goal and hinges upon the overall development of education, health care and the environment as a whole.

Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Navigant is a provider of specialized consulting services. Since its inception in 1983, the company has created a niche market with a highly skilled staff of seasoned consultants and industry leaders. Navigant offers litigation support and investigative services, claims management and analysis, corporate finance services, discovery services, government contracting services as well as operations advisory and management process outsourcing services.

Navigant primarily focuses on industries undergoing substantial regulatory and structural changes, including construction, energy, financial services and healthcare. The company went public in 2006 and derives majority of its revenues before reimbursement from professional service fees.

Navigant continues to reposition its portfolio through divestiture of assets that no longer fit in the corporate strategy while investing in more lucrative platforms. Going forward, the company intends to focus on innovation by rolling out several new programs to engage professionals in creative ideations.

Navigant currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Other players in the industry worth mentioning include Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN), MAXIMUS, Inc. (MMS) and ICF International Inc. (ICFI), each carrying a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
