NBC adds Britain's Neely as overseas correspondent
NBC News adds Britain's TV journalist Bill Neely as its chief global correspondent
NEW YORK (AP) -- One of NBC News President Deborah Turness' former colleagues from Britain is joining NBC as its London-based chief global correspondent.
Bill Neely will join Richard Engel, who's NBC News' chief foreign correspondent. Engel is based in the Middle East.
Neely has been international editor of Britain's ITV News. Turness was the editor of ITV News before landing the NBC job this spring.
Turness calls Neely "one of the greatest television journalists of this generation" and the kind of person competitors don't want to see on a story.
