NDS Cognitive Labs brings on new customers including CLIP Financial & LatAm banks; appoints COO & Board members; sees 159% growth in conversational AI implementation
MEXICO CITY & SAN FRANCISCO, December 07, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NDS Cognitive Labs (NDS) today announced the company’s record-setting 2021 company growth, enabled by partnerships with Clip (digital payment provider), major banks in Latin America, and global and US technology companies. The company also announced several key executive hires, and NDS CEO & Co-founder, Gustavo Parés was appointed President of the Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA).
In 2021, NDS secured partnerships with a number of leading organizations in both Mexico and the US. In Latin America, the company began work with the innovative and leading fintech organization, Clip. NDS researched, developed, and implemented a virtual assistant for Clip, enabling the company to progress its mission of increasing financial inclusion across industry sectors.
"The past year has been full of historic opportunities for NDS Cognitive Labs to bring AI, cloud and digital transformation services to new industry sectors, from retail to banking to hospitality, and I am incredibly proud of the technical contributions NDS has delivered amidst record demand for our services," said Gustavo Parés, Co-founder & CEO of NDS Cognitive Labs. "We’re grateful for all of the hardworking and talented professionals that NDS works with as employees, partners, and customers as we strive to build a better technological future."
In Mexico specifically, NDS created virtual assistants for two of the largest Mexican banks, helping them to digitally transform their services for millions of customers across the country.
In the US, NDS began work with a number of Silicon Valley and Seattle technology companies, further extending the reach of NDS into new markets and validating the company’s approach to globally-relevant digital transformation.
As the world grappled with an immediate need to digitize services and interactions, NDS was there to meet the unprecedented demand, drawing on its own full-time employees as well as the more than 20,000 project-based, highly trained and qualified technologists that make up the NDS Technical Talent community.
The growth NDS has seen this year is largely attributed to the company’s intellectual property solutions, which include AI and Cloud implementation services, among many others, that make up 40% of the company’s revenue. One especially notable area is virtual assistant implementation, which saw 159% in growth in 2021 alone, and nearly 800% since 2017.
In its continued growth, NDS this year made key executive hires:
Rafael Pérez Coca, a seasoned sales and operations professional, joined NDS as Chief Operating Officer. Pérez held a number of leadership roles during his nearly 29 years at IBM Mexico, including the COO role for the company’s operations in Mexico.
José Díaz, senior business consultant and executive coach, took on the role of Sales and Marketing Counselor. Díaz brings more than 32 years of experience to NDS, nearly 15 of which were spent at IBM Mexico in various sales and management roles.
Ana Paula Nacif, former Chief Marketing Officer for IBM Mexico, joined NDS as a board member, drawing on more than 33 years of experience in various C-level roles to help guide the company during its period of record growth.
The company also announced a strategic partnership for branding, marketing and business development with Outfront Solutions and its founders Nicole DeMeo and Jeanine Moss who are guiding the company in its U.S. and global expansion.
Furthering its commitment to the development of Mexico’s growing technology ecosystem, NDS Co-founder and CEO, Gustavo Parés was this year appointed President of the Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA). The association is a technology industry organization founded on the principles of growth through collaboration and the exchange of ideas. For more than 20 years, GITMA has held annual conferences around the world on a range of topics relevant to the rapidly evolving global technology industry to provide unique opportunities to IT educators, researchers and practitioners to learn from one another.
